EntityRise vs Scrunch AI
EntityRise and Scrunch AI solve different problems. Scrunch is a monitoring and analytics platform you operate yourself: you buy access to representation data and decide what to do with it. EntityRise is a service: it measures AI visibility on a sealed set of 20 buyer questions across five providers, then our team does the work and measures the same set again. If you already pay an SEO team, our engagement absorbs that work rather than adding to it, because the technical fixes, structured data and evidence we ship raise search rankings and the chance of an AI recommendation in one price.
EntityRise vs Scrunch AI: what each one measures
| Scrunch AI | EntityRise | |
|---|---|---|
| Model and price | ||
| How you pay | Monthly subscription: Starter $250 a month on annual billing or $300 month to month, Growth $417 annual or $500 month to month, Enterprise on request. Annual billing carries a 17% discount. | $49 once for an audit across all five providers. There is no subscription and no seat count, because there are no plans. |
| Entry barrier | The cheapest way in is about $3,000 for a year of Starter, decided before you know whether measurement is even your problem. | $49 and a few minutes. You find out where you stand first and decide about the work afterwards. |
| What the price includes | Access to monitoring, page audits and reporting. Growth and Enterprise add strategy reviews. Implementation is not part of any tier. | A sealed measurement, a 37-page report and a prioritized plan. Implementation Sprint and Growth Service are priced separately, and classic SEO sits inside them at no extra charge. |
| What gets measured | ||
| Who sets the scope | Your plan does. Starter allows 350 custom prompts and 1,000 industry prompts, Growth 700 and 2,500, with 3 to 5 personas depending on tier. | You confirm the business profile, the buyer topics and the final set of 20 questions: 17 discovery and 3 brand-aware. Three gates before anything runs, and the count never depends on what you paid. |
| How many AI platforms you measure | Every tier covers the same seven surfaces, Meta AI and Google AI Mode included. The count is higher. How many of those surfaces your buyers actually use is a different question. | Always five: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok and Perplexity, in every audit. These are the assistants real buyers talk to: ChatGPT alone is 74.8% of AI referral traffic, Gemini 11.6% and Perplexity 7.2% (Similarweb, 2026). More surfaces does not mean more buyers. |
| Prompts containing your brand name | You add the prompts you want to track. If a brand-name prompt is in the set, its mentions count into the visibility numbers like any other. | Scored separately as recognition evidence. Only questions that do not name you enter the AI Visibility Index, because recognition is not discovery. |
| How competitors are chosen | You configure the competitive set yourself, or take the companies the platform surfaced from AI answers. | Up to three from our own market research plus a check that the company is a real substitute for your offer to the same buyer. A company an AI happened to name does not become a benchmark competitor. |
| Reproducibility | A live dashboard and trend history. There is no sealed test set to re-run, so a number cannot be reproduced independently later. | Audit ID, SHA-256 test-set hash, model versions and a timestamp in every report. The same measurement can be repeated and defended. |
| Crawler and referral analytics | Named tracking of GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot plus a GA4 view of AI referral traffic. It reports which crawlers reached you. | We check crawler access as part of the audit and then fix what blocks it: robots.txt, rendering, hreflang and structured data. Reporting the block is not the same as removing it. |
| What happens after the measurement | ||
| Who does the work | You, or an agency you hire on top. The platform delivers page audits, recommendations and strategy reviews. | Our team. Technical fixes, structured data, positioning, content for buyer questions and external evidence, with classic SEO included in the price rather than billed as an extra. |
| Who is accountable for the result | You are. The subscription guarantees data, not movement. | We are. We re-measure the same sealed question set after the work and show what moved and what did not. |
| When evidence is missing | The score still renders a confident figure, because a dashboard has to show something. | The report marks the finding unresolved and names the counter-evidence. We would rather say we do not know than fill a chart. |
| Works best for | Large brand and PR teams that want the longest possible surface list in a report and have people in house to act on it. | Companies that want to know where they stand for $49, and then want someone to do the work and prove the result. |
Competitor plan details as published on their pricing page, checked on 14 September 2026.
Verdict: measure first. Decide after.
The audit costs $49, runs on the question set you approve and gives you a sealed, reproducible measurement with a prioritized plan. Then you know whether you need a platform, a team, or both.
Questions buyers ask
Which one should you choose?
Is EntityRise a Scrunch AI alternative?
For finding out where you stand, yes, and it costs $49 once instead of $250 a month. Scrunch counts more surfaces and sells crawler analytics. We measure the five assistants your buyers actually use, and then ship the fixes, which no Scrunch tier does, with classic SEO inside the same price.
We already pay an SEO team. Why add this?
You would not be adding, you would be consolidating. A model and a crawler read the same page, the same structured data and the same external evidence, so the work we ship for AI visibility raises your organic rankings at the same time. One engagement, one team accountable, instead of a monitoring seat plus a retainer.
Why five providers and not a longer list?
Because we count buyers, not surfaces. Our five are the assistants ordinary people talk to before they buy, and three of them already carry 93.6% of measured AI referral traffic (Similarweb, 2026). Surfaces added to lengthen a feature list are either niche or driven by technical teams and projects, not by a consumer with ChatGPT open on their phone. A model someone runs locally on a developer machine will not buy your product. On top of that, every one of our 100 observations is read and scored against the evidence behind it, not just counted.
